What Is A Structural Deviation?

Although there is no such thing as structurally perfect, there is a standard range for what is considered normal. These normal standards are understood and recognized throughout all modern healthcare providers. These standards are how we can understand what a fever is because we know what the standard temperature is, or what constitutes high blood sugar, because we are aware of the standard range. There are established standards for what is acceptable as normal everywhere because of science, including gauges and warning indicators on the dashboard of your car.. letting you know when things are far enough outside of the acceptable standards to create a problem.

At Apex Chiropractic, we are looking for a significant three-dimensional deviation of the spine away from the standard. If the head and neck relationship deviates in 3 directions, it will cause the shoulders to twist, and the hips to deviate which forces the entire spine to deviate out of alignment to compensate. These deviations cause the muscles to spasm, the ligaments to deform, and disrupt the NERVES traveling down the spinal cord. In other words, the main communication system that connects your brain to your body can be disrupted.

The Primary Condition that we work with is called the ATLAS DEVIATION SYNDROME or commonly known as Atlas Subluxation.
