A careful, age-appropriate assessment

Parents may have questions about a child’s neck movement, comfort, posture, or musculoskeletal development. At Apex Chiropractic in Neptune Beach, the first step is understanding those concerns, your child’s history, and whether assessment here or referral to another clinician is appropriate.

Chiropractic assessment does not replace routine pediatric care. Feeding difficulties, persistent vomiting, developmental changes, fever, unusual lethargy, or other medical concerns should be discussed with your child’s pediatric clinician.

Meet the doctors

Dr. Vicki Zifteh’s biography describes pediatric and perinatal postgraduate training, including ICPA study and CACCP and Webster credentials. Dr. William Soriano’s interests include upper cervical biomechanics and pediatric assessment. Read their biographies and ask about experience relevant to your child’s particular concern. Training credentials alone do not establish that a treatment is effective for every condition.

Imaging is not a routine screening step

CBCT and MRI answer different clinical questions. Imaging should be considered only when justified for the individual child, with attention to radiation exposure for CBCT and the practical and safety requirements of MRI. Bring any existing reports so unnecessary duplication can be avoided.

Prepare for your consultation

Bring relevant medical history, medication information, prior reports, and questions. Explain when symptoms began, any injury, and what has changed. Our Neptune Beach office serves families from Jacksonville and the Beaches.
